What is Cultilene Mapito used for?

Cultilene Mapito is a stonewool substrate perfect for excelling root growth and development. It provides excellent water to air ratio making it perfect for nutrient retention. Likewise, this is a great growing medium for hydroponics and water farm systems. This substrate blend of stonewool and polyurethane flakes ensures that the medium never compacts when in use. Therefore this is a very good hydroponic grow media for professional growers and works well with water irrigation systems.

How to use Cultilene Mapito

Before using this you should first rinse it clean to reduce the EC of the soil. It is highly important when using this as your growing medium that you ensure you regularly monitor the pH value of the substrate. For successful growing on Mapito, it is best to maintain a pH value between 5.3 and 5.8. Therefore, for those of you using normal tap water, you’ll need to reduce the pH. Tap water commonly has a pH of 7.5, so you’ll need to use a pH – to get the pH to its ideal value.
