Mode of action

Pyrethrum FS is a broad and fast acting insecticide obtained from the dried flowers of chrysanthemum species (Tanacetum cinerariifolium). Pyrethrin is considered the lead substance. However, as is usual with plant extracts, other active substances are also included. Sesame oil is included as a synergist (increasing efficacy). The active substances are rapidly degraded by sunlight and are only effective for a short time. Pyrethrum FS is not beneficial to beneficial insects.

Application

0.05% (0.5-1 l/ha) Due to rapid degradation by sunlight, it is recommended to spray in the morning or evening or under overcast conditions with plenty of water. Mixing with the wetting agents Braxol or Profital increases the effectiveness of Pyrethrum FS.

Waiting periods

Vegetables / aromatic herbs: 7 days, vegetables greenhouse: 3 days, fruit crops / berries: 3 weeks.
