FYTA - Beam soil sticks, 20 cm

To ensure that the sensor works correctly, the rods should be at least completely inserted into the substrate – deeper is better than too shallow. Important: The rods must not reach the drainage layer (e.g. expanded clay) to avoid measurement errors.

Application

• Insert the sensor rods deep enough into the soil, but not into the drainage layer.
• If you encounter resistance from roots or bark, change the location.
• Ideally, the sensor should reach into the lower third of the pot
• Do not allow to protrude from the substrate – this will distort the measurement.
