The jalapeño ‘Ruben’ RS is one of the most popular chilli varieties worldwide. Its approx. 7 cm long, thick-skinned and juicy fruits offer a strong but pleasant spiciness. Typically, the green pods are harvested, as they develop their full aroma in this state. As they ripen, the fruits turn a bright red and develop a slightly sweet flavour. This variety is versatile – whether fresh, pickled or smoked as chipotle.
