Against soil-dwelling pests
The soil-dwelling predatory mite (Hypoaspis Miles or Stratiolaelaps scimitus) combats fungus gnat larvae efficiently in a natural way. In addition to fungus gnats, the Hypoaspis predatory mite feeds on many other soil-living animals such as springtails, earth fleas, root lice, centipedes and their eggs. The predatory mite is considered undemanding, tolerates a wide range of environmental conditions and has low requirements in terms of temperature and humidity.
The predatory mites regulate various soil-dwelling pests. However, the visible effect occurs later than when using nematodes. If there is no more prey, the predatory mites also disappear.
